arrives next week as well(not to mention HOUSE season 4) but you know AICN staff dont watch this brilliant show, and its a shame. it is possibly the best show on tv. it is altogether nerve wracking, addicting, captivating, funny, intense, profane, gory and sexy. just be ready to root for the bad guy... er good guy. fuck you guys for not ever giving us a DEXTER talkback, EVER! Fuck, Jimmy Smits just joined the cast for season 3.... and you still dont believe in this show Harry? its the real deal. can i get an Amen? haters can eat a bag of dicks.

Amen! Dexter is fucking amazing. I bought the first season on a whim because it was dirt-cheap ($15 I think) and I'd heard good things about it (I also don't get Showtime.) I ended up watching the entire season in one sitting. I have the release day for season 2 marked on my calendar. Definitely one of the best TV shows I've ever seen.

It came out I think earlier this year or late last year, all taped using a camcorder, about a couple in a haunted house. The trailer had night vision and a door slamming by itself. I believe there was an image of the wife bloodied in bed, but I'm not sure. Help is appreciated :)

Natasha Henstridge naked in high definition. Ahhhh, it makes me so glad I live in these times. Would you guess by the cover of Preaching to the Perverted that Guinevere Turner is the screenwriter of American Psycho, The Notorious Betty Page, and BloodRayne? There's some nuttiness to contemplate. And yes, Dexter is cool. Though I don't want anyone to eat a bag of dicks.

The horror movie you're looking for might be In Memorium. The husband, recently diagnosed with cancer, has web cams all around the house to record his last days, but then spooky things happen. It played the festival circuit a couple years ago and I recall it being quite good.

It's been blowing people away on the festival circuit for ages. Last I heard the director was remaking it for Dreamworks, which can only mean one thing; the original will be dumped to DVD as to not detract from the remake. Just like they did with RING.

The whole quirky thing is only going to carry her career for so long before it gets tired. I've enjoyed her work so far but I can see myself getting tired of her within a year unless she goes beyond the parameters of the angst-ridden, ironic chick. And by the way, Hard Candy is the most painfully overrated "horror" film in recent memory. Just wanted to get that off my chest.

If you've listened to the commentary on that DVD you'll find out that Val went all sorts of crazy for that movie hiring wig makers and what not really diving into that role

Ninja Cheerleaders looks like retarded fun

as for TDK, I'm sure they'll release a barebones, no commentary, no documentaries, just the movie maybe a Day after Thanksgiving special? Then after Heath is NOMINATED for an Oscar (and he will be) and probably nominations in the technical catagories (costume maybe, editing, etc) they'll release the big 2 disc special edition with the big NOMINATED FOR ___ ACADAMEY AWARDS logo either right before the Oscars or right after

Just saying.... I'm all for absolute cheese when the flick has something going for it in the script or production value department, but this has none of that. It's just cheap, boring, and worst of all.. lazy. Plus, I do believe the only nudity in the film is shots of other girls in the strip bar (but none of the leads) used as cheap transitions in what they used to call "Avid farts" on this site. Well marketed though.

The Filmation cartoons are pretty two-dimensional, but a fairly straightforward adaptation of the look/feel of the comics of the Silver Age era. They don't suffer from the injected silliness and campiness of the Super Friends; and, these were made just prior to parents' groups uproar over violence in Saturday morning fare (in fact they were probably contributors to the uproar).

The stories usually jump right into the action -- namely, a strange creature (or group of creatures) from outer space invade Metropolis, Central City, Star City, etc. and cause mayhem. The super hero of the moment arrives to kick ass. The End.

If you enjoy the Silver Age, you'll like these cartoons.

Haven't seen the flick in quite a while, but I always thought it was one of Van Damme's most underrated movies. His acting was not completely atrocious, and the plot was fairly cohesive, believable, and taken seriously. Not saying this is even a very good movie, just going by Van Damme standards. And the sex scene is abrupt & awkward.

Last I saw she was in that ABC series about the lawyer who has visions...Eli Stone, perhaps? Never saw it outside of the neverending promos during Lost. Has Species ever come out in HD/BluRay? I'm one of the schmoes that picked up a Toshiba on the cheap.

BTW, the video release of Iron Man makes sense since Speed Racer and Sex And The City are released in the same month. I remember years ago when Twister came out early October, and that was an early summer release. WB would be foolish to hold off on DK past Christmas, unless Paramount finally comes out with all 4 Indys in BluRay. Even haters would probably pick up a Kingdom DVD just to complete the series.

Hate to burst your bubble, but TDK will be released by Mid Dec. to capitalize on the Xmas rush. Warners has no illusions in regards to TDK Oscar chances other than a token Heath Ledger nomination...Anyother nominations will just be gravy for the subsequent re-release of the rumoured three hour director's cut. There's no way they're going to wait until March or April and run the risk of the bootleggers saturating the market with illegal copies + trying to vy for the attention of the fanboys drooling over The Watchmen, which will be in the theaters at that time. Trust, Xmas we will see a barebones release, if not, no later than New Years (but i seriously doubted).

..unless you've already seen one of his previous films, then you realize it's the same self-indulgent crap over and over. they shove like 75 different audio options and 45 commentaries, so they waste space. because i too was under the impression high def discs would mean the end of multiple disc sets for movies and lower the disc count for tv season sets. but of course most blu-ray season sets are 1 disc less than its dvd counterpart...it dont make no sense bub.

I'd agree that it was as good or even better than Season 1 and like The Shield, the writers and actors are willing to go to places most TV shows (and movies for that matter) won't. In my estimation, Season 2 had brass balls given some of the plot developments.

A superb cult movie - so glad it's coming out in a 10th anni edition. If the boring naysayers (mostly men I note, who get a rough ride in the movie) were right about this film, there would not be a 10th anni edition with glorious Guin's commentary, natch.
