I don't follow anime, to be honest. And those Jambo Media adds between the article and the talkback are all jacked up in FireFox. Tell them to fix that.

That one looks worth picking up. Even better looking is Ergo Proxy, which I've never really heard of before now, but it doesn't look like typical manga . . . looks like the chick from Evanescence. Damn, not enough tim in the day. Except for multiple postings to AICN talkbacks. Always time for that.

Is going to hit Cartoon Network? Or some other form of the American airwaves? Maybe G4? And what about Ergo Proxy? I'm never gonna end up seeing it if I have to buy DVDs just to watch it . . .

It was on G4TechTV Canada. I'm not sure how edited it was. The anime was shopped around American networks, but there was deal. Maybe with FUNimation involved, and their in with IFC it will have better luck this time.

was on starz awhile back.They played the series through to the end and it was pretty good.Lots of gunfights,some upskirt shots,and that end with the samurai was awseome.Oh and the stories were good too.

Ergo Proxy had been released for a while? I've got all 6 and i'm relatively sure it's not a bootleg. Anyway, I've been looking for Hellsing and Black Lagoon to finally get distributed/finished distributing and my prayers have been answered! I'm so happy i could cry!

It's such an awesome show but the story is quite dense and can be hard to follow if you don't pay close attention.

One of the best Anime series I have seen in awhile. Remy can be a real bitch but you can't help but like her.Would have loved to have seen more of Dutch who was badass but a great deal of theseries focused more on Rock's character development instead.Ergo Proxy is great as well and the 4th OVA of Hellsing Ultimate will not disapoint. who can resist Nazi Ghouls getting the shit kicked out of them?

Given the huge popularity of the Dub version of Hellsing, I'd say it's a safe bet to assume that the VA will be back; though dubs don't touch the VA in the Japanese versionn. Gotta say though that I thought the 4th installment of Ultimate was rather weak but I believe they had to cut lots out; it was about 4 months late because of the editing. Anyone who's read the manga of Hellsing knows just how much IS missing from the Ultimate Anime but it's still a million times better than the TV show they brought out ages ago. Admittedly, there were only a handful of Mangas to turn into episodes so they had to make lots of shit up. Anyhoo..it's an awesome show and manga. Black Lagoon on the other hand has me really in two minds. Part of me loves it, I think it's snappy and cool and there's some good stories. Another part totally hates it. It feels in parts like a shameless rip of Cowboy Bebop. Sure you've got the fish out water angle they play on but it seems so Bebopy.

To reduce Black Lagoon to just another upskirt action trash show is doing it a disservice. This show is heavy on the existentialism.. it's pretty much a running theme throughout the entire series. It reminds of a deeper version of Wanted (Angelina Jolie) in the sense that it's about an office drone finding himself, though handled with much more breadth and depth than the 90 minutes of Wanted. Must see. Check out the fansub though..
