due to the movie being included as part of the season. I thought for sure it would be separate from the season per se, and just serve as more of an intro.

And sometimes it's not, still better than most stuff on TV, and Kiefer Sutherland is always great as Jack Bauer. If they're going to bring back a character from the dead, it should have been Michelle, she was a kick ass babe, I could have even seen her taking over as the lead if Kiefer decided to leave. We only saw Tony cradling her, he's not a doctor, maybe she was saved by paramedics, and has been in a coma ever since, and it's been kept secret for her own safety. The show always seems to be taking place in the present, but every season jumps ahead a few years, I guess it's just one of those things we're not supposed to notice.

and told him off for talking shite. Perhaps something was lost in translation...? In an interview with Premiere.com, Scotsman Robert Carlyle stated that the two hours covered by this November's 24 prequel movie will count toward Season 7's episode count. "This is two hours in real time," he said, "and there'll then be 22 episodes." That didn't seem kosher, so I checked with Fox and confirmed that Day 7 indeed will be the usual 24 episodes/hours, wholly supplementary to the TV-movie. Carlyle also indicated that the final moments of the prequel will feed right into the opening scenes of Season 7, yet again, that is not exactly the case. The prequel itself picks up four years after the events of Day 6 — effectively planting Jack Bauer in the year 2017, if you have been keeping tabs — and then another few on-screen months will pass between the movie's sure-to-be-thrilling climax and Jack's appearance before Congress. — Matt Mitovich TVguide.com

SCRIPT LEAK - Carlyle's first scene with Jack

"Picture the scene: The other fuckin' week there, doin' the fuckin' Volley with Tommy, playing pool. I'm playing like Paul-Fuckin'-Newman by the way. Givin' the boy here the tannin' of a lifetime. So it comes to there, during the last shot, the deciding ball of the whole tournament. I'm on the black and he's sittin' in the corner looking all fuckin' biscuit-arsed. When this hard cunt comes in. Obviously fuckin' fancied himself, like. Starts staring at me. Lookin' at me, right fuckin' at me, as if to say, "Come ahead, square go." You ken me, I'm not the type of cunt that goes looking for fuckin' bother, like, but at the end of the day I'm the cunt with a pool cue and he can get the fat end in his puss any time he fucking wanted like. So I squares up, casual like. What does the hard cunt do? Or the so-called hard cunt? Shites it. Puts down his drink, turns, and gets the fuck out of there. And after that, well, the game was mine."

now it's not even in my top 5. if they can't give us a quality season ASAP, i have a feeling, contract or not, the show might be canceled. almost all of 24's mistakes can be blamed on lazy writting. storylines and even characters have been blatantly copied season after season.

The terrorist threat isn't really the Sangalans. It's really an off-shoot rogue organization from a 'safe' country that won't throw a fit if we imply they are our enemy in a fictional tv-show. This organization has it's own agenda to de-stabilize the US, but not because they feel oppressed by us, no, it's something that is in no way our fault. The real spoiler is, they are being secretely assisted by people in the US government who want them to succeed for some unknown reason completely un-related to oil or regime-change.

I don't know how old Jack was in season one, but his daughter was in High School, probably about 17. Assuming that jack wasn't a teenaged Dad he'd have to be well into his 50s in this next season. Meanwhile, Sutherland is just past 40 and could play younger. So they'll keep the daughter away to keep our minds off his age.
