Sadly, we have no more tough guy actors. Arnold, Sly, Willis, Segal, Van Damm, et al. are all too old or burnt out. Bale is the closest left, but he can't appear in every action movie. However, kudos to the the Russians...maybe it's still the '80s over there. In 20 years, they'll be cursed with effeminate male leads like DeCaprio, Clooney, Pitt, Damon, Depp, etc.

getting sliced up by wierd dudes must we have? They are all boring. I dig hot chicks, just not in movies where they scream in agony ang get their achilles slit, tits cut off, og eyes put out. Gore isnt fun anymore. It old. It has dust on it. Alot. Termites live in it. Its too old for Carbon dating. In fact its so old, many encyclopedias use it as the definition of the word. It's also almost always predictable. Even the poster is bad. I will not see that film in fear of slipping into a coma. Russian Commando might be cool though. And a wierd korean western is very welcome.

Thanks for a sober (and very funny) summary. Agree with you, 200%. Slasher films suck (same 'ole generic platitudes). And fuck Lionsgate for pitching DVDs that are on par with BRIDE OF THE MONSTER. Best horror film this year: THE COTTAGE.

... You Can't Stop The Murders (or something like that). I can't find it anywhere on DVD. It's pretty low-budget, but funny as hell. I can't help thinking that Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright watched this before writing Hott Fuzz. There's a shitload of similarities between these two films.
